NATO DIANA – Accelerating Earthfence for Defence Applications

From a pool of 2600+ applications, ThothX Meridian was the first Portuguese company to be selected for NATO’s dual-use business acceleration programme – NATO DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic). Selected for NATO DIANA’s 2025 cohort, addressing the Sensing and Surveillance challenge, participation in DIANA focused on accelerating the positioning and development of Earthfence for defence and dual-use applications. The programme provided specialised training, mentoring and venture-building support, while giving the company direct exposure to NATO’s defence innovation ecosystem and opportunities to engage with military stakeholders, industry partners and fellow innovators across the Alliance. DIANA played a key role in strengthening ThothX Meridian’s understanding of defence requirements and markets and in positioning its persistent, all-weather GEO monitoring capability within the wider context of Allied Space Domain Awareness.
