ThothX Meridian was featured in a dedicated report on RTP Açores’ Telejornal, highlighting the company’s NATO DIANA selection and plans to develop a deep-space radar capability in the Azores.
Filmed at the former Marconi telecommunications site in Fajã de Cima, São Miguel, the report used the antenna that ThothX Meridian plans to repurpose as the backdrop for an interview with Managing Director and co-founder Francisco Wallenstein.
The feature introduced the project to a wider regional audience, explaining how the existing infrastructure can be transformed into a deep-space radar and how the strategic location of the Azores can contribute to monitoring GEO activity across the Atlantic and Europe.
The report also highlighted NATO DIANA’s role in accelerating the development and deployment of the technology, bringing increased visibility to a project that combines the Azores’ geographical advantages with advanced space-surveillance capabilities.
