Inside NATO DIANA’s Defence and Security Ecosystem

As part of the 2025 NATO DIANA Accelerator Programme, ThothX Meridian participated in the Defence and Security Days, a three-day programme taking place in Krakow (Poland) designed to deepen innovators’ understanding of defence markets and accelerate the adoption of dual-use technologies.

Managing Director Francisco Wallenstein and Head of Operations João Salmim Ferreira had the opportunity to attend lectures, workshops, panel discussions and pitching sessions addressing defence market dynamics, export controls, government contracts, pricing, risk management and NATO funding mechanisms, as well as to engage with defence customers.

A significant part of the programme focused on connecting participating companies with the wider defence innovation ecosystem. A dedicated reverse-pitch session brought together end users, investors and prime contractors, while other sessions explored technology validation, procurement and lessons learned from operational environments.

For ThothX Meridian, the programme provided practical insight into how persistent Space Domain Awareness capabilities can respond to NATO and Allied requirements. It also complemented the technical development taking place through DIANA with a deeper understanding of the commercial, procurement and operational pathways required to bring dual-use technology into the defence market.
