ThothX Meridian’s Managing Director, Francisco Wallenstein, and Head of Operations, João Salmim Ferreira, participated in Web Summit 2024, held in Lisbon from 11 to 14 November, introducing ThothX’s deep-space radar technology to the international technology and investment community.
Selected for the ALPHA Startup Programme, the company was given a dedicated exhibition space to present Earthfence, its business model and development plans directly to investors, companies, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders.
The event provided an opportunity to communicate the growing importance of Space Situational Awareness beyond the traditional space sector, highlighting the role of radar in the persistent monitoring of critical satellites in GEO.
ThothX Meridian was also shortlisted by Web Summit to pitch directly to one of the event’s investor speakers. The session provided direct feedback on the company’s business and technology and complemented meetings, mentoring and networking opportunities throughout the event.
By bringing Earthfence to one of the world’s largest technology and entrepreneurship gatherings, ThothX Meridian broadened its exposure beyond the space industry and developed new connections within the international technology and investment community.
