ThothX Meridian has secured €30,000 under Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) through the Vouchers for Startups – New Digital/Technological Products programme.
The supported project focuses on adapting Earthfence to the 32-metre telecommunications antenna at Alfouvar, Sintra, including optimisation of the software and data-processing chain and transmission and reception testing under real operating conditions.
Closely aligned with work undertaken through NATO DIANA, the project will help demonstrate the adaptability of Earthfence to existing telecommunications infrastructure while advancing the establishment of an operational radar capability in mainland Portugal, while also supporting the development of scalable digital services based on radar data and provides a practical demonstration of how existing infrastructure can be repurposed for Space Situational Awareness.
